As explorers at heart, we can’t help but be drawn to the enchanting narrative of Phileas J. Fogg, Esq. Five years ago, he opened the doors of his Mayfair residence to kindred explorers and weary travellers. What followed was the inception of his Covent Garden Tavern and Gin Parlour, both a testament to his daring spirit. But the adventure didn’t stop there. For all those adventurous souls who venture into the heart of Fitzrovia, a new destination awaits: Mr Foggs’ House of Botanicals.
Blossoming in the heart of London, Mr Foggs’ House of Botanicals is more than just a cocktail bar. It’s a destination where botanical wonders discovered during Fogg’s illustrious travels come to life in an array of exquisite cocktails. The establishment invites you to explore, just as Fogg did, a world of flavours, cultures, and stories, all served in a glass. The challenge? Capturing this vibrant essence, this compelling narrative, and translating it into an immersive digital experience.
What I Did
Faced with the task of translating such a unique narrative into a digital format, I turned to the ingenuity and creativity of designer Silvia Porcu. Inspired by her design, I created a landing page that becomes your first step into Fogg’s whimsical world. The page greets visitors with a stunning animated artwork, capturing the bar’s spirit in the most captivating way.
The artwork is followed by the venue’s information, presented in a user-friendly layout that makes it easy for visitors to navigate. More than just being visually pleasing, the design prioritises functionality, ensuring all information is easy to locate and understand.
Realising the importance of digital interactions in today’s world, I integrated a reservation form into the website. This feature allows visitors to book their journey into Mr Fogg’s world with just a few clicks.
In a bid to promote interaction and establish a digital community around the bar, the page is equipped with links to its social media platforms. This allows visitors to engage with the brand on different levels, sharing their experiences and joining in the conversations.
Finally, I included important emails, providing visitors with a direct channel to get in touch with the team behind Mr Foggs’ House of Botanicals. This not only enhances user experience but also helps in establishing a personal connection with visitors.
Through strategic SEO optimisation, I ensured the website is easy to find for everyone seeking an extraordinary cocktail experience in London. By choosing the right keywords and optimizing the site’s content, I’ve improved its visibility and ranking, making it a top result for relevant search queries.
