Who They Are
The client sought a WooCommerce solution to implement and manage minimum order values for specific user roles. They needed an intuitive system that allowed administrators to easily select user roles and set minimum order amounts. Additionally, it was crucial for the solution to provide clear and timely notifications to users during the checkout process, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience.
What I Did
To address the client’s needs, I developed a customized WooCommerce plugin specifically designed to enforce minimum order amounts based on user roles. The plugin features a user-friendly settings page accessible within the WordPress dashboard’s Settings section. Administrators can effortlessly define the minimum order amount and select the user roles to which this rule applies.
On the front-end, I implemented two alert notifications, strategically displayed on the Cart and Checkout pages. These notifications promptly inform users if their order total does not meet the required minimum, guiding them towards fulfilling the minimum order amount.
