Project overview

Cadiz Tapas is a Spanish restaurant and cocktail venue built around atmosphere, distinctive drinks and a menu inspired by travel, tradition and vibrant flavours.

The website needed to reflect that character while giving visitors an easy way to explore the venue, browse food and drink information and book a table without friction. It also needed to perform reliably across devices and support the business through stronger visibility online.

I designed and developed the platform as a WordPress restaurant website, combining a visually led front end, reservation integration, responsive delivery, technical optimisation and ongoing support through a long-term care plan. This kind of work is most closely aligned with custom WordPress development, technical SEO and WordPress care plans.

The challenge

Hospitality websites need to create the right atmosphere quickly, but they also need to make core actions like browsing and booking feel effortless. The challenge here was to present the restaurant’s identity in a polished way while keeping the user journey clear and the technical setup dependable.

Brand-led hospitality presentation
The site needed to reflect the restaurant’s ambience and personality immediately.
Reservation usability
Booking a table needed to be simple and friction-free for guests.
Responsive performance
The site had to look and work well across devices, especially on mobile.
Ongoing technical reliability
Security, caching, SSL and updates all needed to be handled properly after launch.

What was delivered

I designed and developed the website from concept through to launch, using WordPress and the Avada theme to create a structured and easy-to-manage hospitality platform. The project combined design, reservations, search visibility and ongoing technical support.

Key architecture decisions

The platform needed to combine visual hospitality presentation with a practical booking-focused structure. That meant building a site that could support inspiration and action at the same time, while still being easy for the team to manage after launch.

Technical setup was also a core part of the delivery. Performance, SSL, caching, security and maintainability all played a role in making sure the website could continue supporting the restaurant reliably beyond the initial build.

Hospitality-first user flow
The site supports both venue discovery and direct reservation action.
Practical WordPress editing model
The platform remains manageable for the team using familiar tools.
Technical reliability built in
Performance, SSL and security considerations were handled as part of the build.
Long-term support mindset
Ongoing care ensured the platform would remain useful after launch.
